Questions, answered.
What counts as a question?
Each question you ask counts once, follow-ups and re-runs of a saved question included. Refreshing a dashboard, sending a scheduled report or opening a shared link does not count.
What happens when a Free workspace reaches 50 questions?
Asking pauses until the first day of the next month (UTC), or until you upgrade. Dashboards keep refreshing and share links keep working in the meantime. You see a notice at 80% so it is never a surprise.
Can Playfair change or delete my data?
No. Playfair connects with a read-only role that it verifies, wraps every query in a read-only transaction and accepts a single SELECT statement only. Writes are rejected before they reach your database.
Do you train AI models on my data?
No. Your schema, questions and results are never used to train models, ours or anyone else’s. Read the AI policy for the details of what is sent to a model and when.
Where is my data hosted?
Playfair runs in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). Query results are cached briefly, encrypted at rest, and expire on their own.
How are seats counted on Pro?
Every member of the workspace uses a seat. Pro includes 5 seats; each extra seat is €9 per month. People who only open a shared dashboard link do not need a seat.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then the workspace returns to the Free limits. Nothing is deleted.
Which sources can I connect?
PostgreSQL, MySQL, Google Sheets and CSV or XLSX files. Free workspaces connect one source of any kind; Pro connects as many as you need.
