These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Asrar SAS, with its registered office at 12 Rue de l’Exemple, 75002 Paris, France (“Asrar”, “we”, “us”). They govern your use of Playfair (the “Service”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Acceptable Use & User Content Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you may bind that organisation.
1. The Service
Playfair lets you connect data sources, ask questions in plain language and receive answers with the chart, the number and the SQL query that produced them, which you can pin to dashboards and share.
2. Your account
You must be at least 16 years old and use the Service for professional purposes. Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Some features require a verified email address.
3. Workspaces and roles
Content lives in workspaces controlled by the organisation that created them (the “Customer”). Owners and Admins decide who may join and which role each member has. The Customer is responsible for the data sources connected to its workspaces and for the content its members create.
4. Your data and your content
You retain all rights in the data you connect or upload (“Customer Data”) and in the content you create (“User Content”). You grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and process them only to provide and support the Service. When we process personal data contained in Customer Data, we act as your processor under the Data Processing Addendum.
5. Connecting data sources
The Service only runs read statements, requires a read-only role and rejects statements that could modify data. Credentials are encrypted at rest. You are responsible for granting only the access you intend and for the load that your team’s queries place on your systems.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to follow the Acceptable Use & User Content Policy.
7. Plans and billing
The Free and Pro plans and their limits are described on our pricing page. Pro is billed per workspace in advance. You may cancel at any time; the workspace returns to Free at the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are not refundable except where required by law.
8. Sharing
You can share dashboards through read-only links. Anyone with a public link can view the shared content. You are responsible for what you share.
9. Third-party services
Integrations with third-party services are governed by those services’ own terms.
10. Security and confidentiality
We protect the Service with measures appropriate to the risk. Each party keeps the other’s confidential information confidential.
11. Intellectual property
We own the Service. We grant you a limited right to use it during your subscription.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend access for material breach or legal risk, with notice where reasonable. We delete workspace content within 30 days of closure unless the law requires otherwise.
13. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. Each party’s total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees paid in that period, or €100 on the Free plan, except where the law does not allow such limitation.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will give at least 15 days’ notice.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, and the courts of Paris, France have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the mandatory rights of consumers.
